Lap-dancing clubs and massage parlours can get grants worth up to £2,275 for every youngster they hire through JobCentres reports the UK Mirror.,

Those aged between 18 and 24 are offered work as bar staff, receptionists and cleaners as part of Welfare Secretary Iain Duncan Smith’s work program.

Labour is demanding proper research by ­ministers to see if girls there end up as sex workers.

MP Fiona Mactaggart says she has met teenagers who started as cloakroom ­attendants and went on to do sex acts for money.

She said: “Parents don’t want their daughters ­working in these ­environments. Taxpayers should not subsidize teens into this kind of work.”

The DWP said: “To be eligible for our schemes, jobs must not exploit ­vulnerable jobseekers.”

JobCentres are banned from advertising “vacancies which involve performing sexual activities”.

from the Florida Everglades.

Fort Myers, Florida (AFP)  -  Alligator and frog have long been on the menu in Florida, but a new delicacy has slithered its way onto dinner plates in the US state.

A pizzeria now offers Burmese python meat on what it calls the "Everglades Pizza" -- named for Florida's vast national park, where the snakes are being hunted to protect the nature preserve.
 

"It was just to create talk about the shop and being creative and this thing literally just went viral," says Evan Daniell, the owner of Evan's Neighborhood Pizza in the Gulf Coast city of Fort Myers reports AFP News.

 

"People talk about it all the time and whether it's negative or positive, it really doesn't matter because the fact is: we can make it and it's delicious."
 

So, the big question: what does it taste like?
 

"It's good but a little chewy," says Mike, a tourist taking the python plunge from Minnesota.

"It tastes like chicken but chewier," his wife Becky adds.
 

Daniell admits that python meat "can be gamier." The chef tenderizes the slabs of snake meat by marinating them for several hours. They are then sliced thinly into what he calls "snake slivers".
 

Before laying it onto the pizza, making sure "each slice has a piece of python," Daniell pre-cooks the snake in the oven for a few minutes.
 

"There is some pink into the snake, and as it turns white, it will be done," he explains.
 

Despite its steep price tag of $45, the "Everglades" pizza certainly has its fans.

Daniell's pal Mike Gookin says he came up with the idea of using the snake meat to spice up pizzas after seeing a news report on the python problem in the Everglades.

The pizza also features alligator sausage and frog legs. Both are native to southern Florida. The pythons are definitely not, but they are everywhere.

"There could be thousands or tens of thousands of Burmese pythons in the wild here," explains Roberto Torres, a field officer with The Nature Conservancy.

The snakes can measure up to 20 feet (six meters) long and they are believed to have made the Everglades their home after being released by their owners.

"They get them as pets and when they get too big, they release them here," Torres says, his feet deep in the mud of the wetlands near the suburbs of Miami where pythons have been spotted regularly.

"I'll have mine with python and pepperoni."

Actress Scarlett Johansson has quit as global ambassador for Oxfam after the aid group deemed the role “incompatible” with her promotion of an Israeli firm that has a factory in the occupied West Bank.

Johansson, 29, appears in an advertisement for home drinks carbonation firm SodaStream, which is due to air during the US Super Bowl on Sunday.

It has already been seen more than 4.5 million times on the YouTube video-sharing website.

The Hollywood star has worked for Oxfam since 2005 but the British-based aid agency said she had stepped down due to her role with SodaStream reports Newsmax.

A statement released by Johansson’s spokesman Wednesday said the 29-year-old actress has “a fundamental difference of opinion” with Oxfam International because the humanitarian group opposes all trade from Israeli settlements, saying they are illegal and deny Palestinian rights.

“Scarlett Johansson has respectfully decided to end her ambassador role with Oxfam after eight years,” the statement said. “She and Oxfam have a fundamental difference of opinion in regards to the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. She is very proud of her accomplishments and fundraising efforts during her tenure with Oxfam.”

• Socialist Democrats are openly pissing on the 2nd Amendment.  California Democrats are attacking the right of the people to keep and bear arms by passing endless Communistic big government regulations to increase the cost of guns and drive gun makers out of business.

On January 22nd renowned gun maker Smith & Wesson joined Sturm, Ruger, & Co.,  announcing it would cease California sales of its semi-automatic pistols due to microstamping requirements that went into effect last year. 

Ruger made the same announcement earlier this month.

Microstamping is a requirement that each firearm be fitted with a special firing pin that leaves a fingerprint on a bullet casing which differs from the fingerprint of every other firearm. In other words--every one of the wildly popular Smith & Wesson M&P .45 semi-automatic handguns would have to be manufactured in such a way so that no two of them left the same mark on a shell casing reports Breitbart News.

The cost of doing this would be incredibly high to manufacturers, and would be a cost they would have to pass on to consumers in higher prices.

Moreover, the result of doing this would be yet another gun registry--every gun sold that met microstamping requirements would have be to registered so that the government knew who owned the gun that left that fingerprint.

On top of these things, micropstamping doesn't even work--and least not all the time. There are proven problems with the durability of microstamps on firing pins.

So The Washington Times reports that Smith & Wesson is just going to stop selling guns in CA for which microstamping is required.

Smith & Wesson president and CEO James Debney said his company "will continue to work with the NRA and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) to oppose this poorly conceived law which mandates the unproven and unreliable concept of microstamping and makes it impossible for Californians to have access to the best products with the latest innovations."

• Adults are to be treated like children as the parent (government) decides for them what photos or words they will be allowed to see.
• Using "think of the children" is a convenient way to block a lot of content the British government doesn't want its citizens to see, with no public consultation whatsoever.

British Liberal Democrats have triggered fury by vowing to overturn David Cameron’s plans for Internet porn filters.

Child safety experts and MPs called the move ‘irresponsible’ and warned it would undermine attempts to "protect" children from hardcore pornography.

Lib Dem party president Tim Farron said the Government should enshrine the ‘digital rights of the citizen’ and halt requirement for ‘filters, lists or controls on legal material’ reports the UK Daily Mail.

Farron said filters were ‘misconceived, ineffective and illiberal’. A motion set to be adopted at the party’s spring conference will say ‘families and individuals should decide how they wish to use them’.

He warned ‘essential sites’ on sex education and gay rights were being blocked, while porn was slipping through filters.

‘Our motion is designed to strengthen Lib Dem ministers’ hands in challenging this nonsensical policy, which has yet to be brought before the House of Commons,’ he said.

Conservative MP Julian Smith said: ‘Tim Farron is clearly putting his Lib Dem leadership ambitions ahead of our children’s protection. (The usual "Think of the children" bullshit.)

Helen Goodman, Labour’s media spokesman, said: ‘It’s typically irresponsible of the Liberal Democrats to oppose this protection.

Labour has pledged to bring in mandatory filters if the coalition’s voluntary approach is found to have failed.

The government's filter, which comes into full effect this month after a year of lobbying, will block far more than dirty pictures. That was always the intention, and in recent weeks it has become clear that the mission creep of Internet censorship is even creepier than campaigners had feared.

One of Britain's biggest Internet providers, claimed that the Internet has no "social or moral framework". Well, neither does a library. Nobody would dream of insisting a local book exchange deployed morality robots to protect children from discovering something their parents might not want them to see. Online, that's just what's happening, except that in this case, every person who uses the Internet is being treated like a child.

Cameron's porn filter looks less like an attempt to protect kids than a convenient way to block a lot of content the British government doesn't want its citizens to see, with no public consultation whatsoever.

Suffer You Frozen Fools

What a beautiful winter here in the People's Republic of California.

I just got back from a walk in 78 degree heat wearing shorts and a tee shirt.  Meanwhile most of the American readers of this Blog are freezing their asses off in the latest attack of the coming Ice Age.

All I can say is suffer you fools.  You guys chose to live in arctic conditions.

We here in California vaguely understand that 49 other states might exist.  Might.  But frankly we just don't care.

For all the Leftist insanity of this People's Republic, California is the center of all civilization worth having on this planet earth.

George Town, Malaysia  -  A mother of two and an eight-month pregnant woman were among 19 Muslim couples detained here by Penang Religious Department for committing khalwat (close proximity) on New Year Day.

The pre-dawn raid was carried out from 2am on several budget hotels in Sebarang Perai and Timur Laut districts from Department's chief enforcement officer Khairul Azman Azizan said the 29-year-old mother had taken her two children, aged between three and six year-old, to the hotel room to be with her boyfriend.

“They tried to pass themselves off as married couple but checks revealed they were not married,” he said.

Khairul said they also detained an eight-month pregnant woman with her boyfriend after they failed to prove that they were married.

He said those detained were in their 20s to 40s and included students from the local higher learning institutions.
